Book Cover

As a Miami narcotics detective, Leah Daniels never knows how her day will turn out. But she certainly never expected to be strapped to a stone altar, the human sacrifice in an ancient Mayan ritual meant to coax up a demon from the underworld. Or that she’d be saved by a handsome warrior-priest king who claims to recognize her from his visions…

Jaguar Strike wishes he hadn’t made the mistake of reuniting his fellow warrior priests, or broken the law by saving their chosen human sacrifice. Now, he has no choice but to join forces with Leah and invoke dangerous magic in a death-defying race against the end of time.

seeingmenaked.gif

Liza is having a contest to win a signed copy of Seeing Me Naked by Liza Palmer. She is the same author who wrote Conversations with a Fat Girl.  For more information, check their blog.

All you have to do is post a picture of the book cover on your blog with the back cover copy.  Then link back to the contest and post on that thread on Dee and Dee Dish’s blog saying you posted on your blog about the contest. Here is the fabulous cover of the book and the back cover copy below. Also Dee and Dee have an interview and review of the book on their blog so make sure to check it out. They run awesome contests and I love their site so much.

Don’t have a blog? You can still play. Just mention this contest on your favorite blog, loop, or group. If ONE person comes here from your mention, and says in the comments that you sent them, then you get an entry.  The prize is a signed copy of SEEING ME NAKED.  Please let Dee and Dee know that Amelia sent you when entering the contest, I really appreciate it.

Seeing Me Naked by Liza PalmerBack Cover Copy:

Elisabeth Page has big shoes to fill. She’s the daughter of a living legend, novelist Ben Page, and is the sister of literary wunderkind Rascal Page. But her career as a pastry chef is decidedly not up to her family’s snooty standards – even though she works at the hottest restaurant in LA – and her five year plan to own a patisserie has morphed into an eleven year plan to nowhere. Also frozen in time is Elisabeth’s personal life: She’s still involved with Will, her family-approved childhood sweetheart, a journalist whose constant jaunts leave her lonely. Enter an exciting career opportunity and, even more terrifying, Daniel Sullivan, a beer-drinking basketball coach who is everything her family is not. Can Elisabeth, who’s addicted to control and bred to criticize, finally embrace happiness? Only if she has the guts to let others see her naked… and let them love her, warts and all.

Riding Wild by Jaci Burton

ridingwild.jpg

Mac Canfield is an ex-thief, drives a Harley, and working undercover.  He is later reunited with Lily West after 10 years with a broken heart.  Mac goes to the museum to steal the artifact that contains a deadly virus.  After Lily spots Mac for breaking into the museum, she hesitates calling the authorities because she has a good idea who it is by the familiar looks.  Once they both spot each other, Lily threatens to shoot him.  Then Mac kidnaps Lily because he does not want her to blow his cover and protect her when someone started to shoot them.  Mac ends up taking Lily for a wild ride on the road.

This is my first review and my first read by this author.  I love both of the characters and there was a lot of heat and wild sex.  It was a wild ride that leaves you wanting more.  I am looking forward to read more by this author.  I can’t wait for the next book in the series.  J
